Set during the height of the AIDS crisis in New York, William Finn’s tart but poignant musical "Falsettos" is presented as staged in a limited 2016 Broadway engagement that earned a Tony Award nomination for best musical revival, as well as nods for four of its performers. The story follows Marvin (Christian Borle), who comes out as gay as he approaches middle age and leaves his wife and young son (Stephanie J. Block, Anthony Rosenthal) to be with the younger Whizzer (Andrew Rannells).
