In commemoration of Immigrant Heritage Month, composer Peter Boyer’s "Ellis Island: The Dream of America" merges contemporary classical music — performed by Pacific Symphony — with dramatic readings recalling the experiences of specific newcomers to the United States. Among those delivering those words: Tony Award winner Barry Bostwick (who also has done this piece on other occasions), Emmy honoree Camryn Manheim ("The Practice") and Michael Nouri ("Flashdance"). This production was staged at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, Calif.
