A new episode called "Black Memorabilia" examines a highly sensitive subject: people who reproduce, use and collect racially charged items that "good naturedly" depict characters and situations from life in the Old South. Collectors of these mementos usually speak of their hobby as an affectionate act of nostalgic preservation, but at least some of these figurines and pictures remain deeply offensive to members of the social class and ethnic group being depicted.
