Emmy-winning actress Holland Taylor both wrote and stars in "Ann," a funny, insightful and ultimately poignant stage portrait of Ann Richards, the feisty governor of Texas from 1991-95. Noted for her merciless wit — she once cracked that political rival George W. Bush "was born with a silver foot in his mouth" — Richards also was a formidable firebrand among power players in the Democratic Party. The play also candidly addresses Richards' battle with alcoholism as she rose to power.
