The new episode "Nova Scotia" finds host Andrew Zimmern exploring some iconic dishes of this picturesque Canadian province, which became a major fishing hub after Europeans settled here in the 16th century. The proximity of the sea to virtually all of Nova Scotia means the region's menus are filled with cold-water lobster, seafood chowder, and haddock and chips, plus blueberry grunt and rappie pie, a savory dish made of rehydrated potatoes and salted pork.
