Secrets of the Dead

PBS | 10:00 pm

Three groups of modern-day treasure hunters, armed with modern technology and decades of research, comb New York's Catskill Mountains in a quest to find a fortune reportedly hidden there by one of America's most infamous crime bosses in the new episode "Gangster's Gold." Before he died in 1935, Bronx-based bootlegger and mobster Dutch Schultz is widely believed to have buried a treasure worth $50 million somewhere in this region. The episode includes a new interview with Stanley Grauso, age 104, the last surviving member of Schultz's gang.
