Season 9 of this survivalist competition series drops its contestants into the bitter wilderness of the northeast shores of Labrador, Canada, a locale widely known as a hunting ground of the polar bear. Each survivalist is dropped off in an undisclosed location, equipped with only 10 survival tools and enough camera gear to self-record their subsequent experiences. In the opener, "Drop Shock," one participant quickly comes up with creative ways to make a home, while another almost immediately is threatened by a predator circling the camp site.
