The new 90-minute documentary "Keeping Company With Sondheim" takes an inside look at British director Marianne Elliott's critically acclaimed if controversial reimagining of the 1970 Stephen Sondheim-George Furth musical "Company." While the original Broadway production revolved around Robert, a 35-year-old bachelor, Elliott flips the character's gender into Manhattan single gal Bobbie. The film, which includes interviews with Elliott and revival stars Katrina Lenk and Patti LuPone, also chronicles the challenges of transferring this London production to Broadway in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.
