High school sweethearts Joe and Christine began an idyllic life together in the California suburbs, where they raised three children. The accidental death of her brother, however, so devastated Christine that she started using meth to numb herself. Today, Christine, her boyfriend and her three adult children — all addicts — share a cramped studio apartment.
