Some Like It Hot

TCM | 8:00 pm

One of Hollywood's truly classic comedies, director Billy Wilder's 1959 laughfest casts Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis as musicians who disguise themselves in drag after witnessing the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. Hiding in an all-female band, one falls for a fellow member (Marilyn Monroe) while the other attracts a wealthy admirer (Joe E. Brown, who gets the unforgettable last line). The film kicks off tonight's mini-festival of Wilder comedies starring Lemmon, including "The Apartment" and "Irma La Douce."
